On Wednesday 17th March, all the Reception children invited their mums to a very special tea party. The children had been working very hard the day before making cakes, cards and gifts for the party.
The children served their mums with tea, coffee and cakes. The children entertained them with two lovely songs and presented their mums with gifts and cookies they made themselves.
The children had put a lot of effort into the morning and rose to the occasion to make sure their mums felt special on the day .A super morning was had by all and all mums left with a huge smile on their faces.

Bears Topic
Our topic for the second part of the Autumn term was Bears. We all brought our own teddy to school and shared with everyone in our class our teddies name and where he was from. We then made labels for our teddies, built chairs for them, measured different parts of their bodies and then created some repeating patterns using some small compare bears. We really enjoyed this topic.

Laying Stones in the Prayer Garden
When we started school in September 2009 we carefully decorated a stone. We then placed our special stone in the prayer garden in our school grounds. Father Kevin came and blessed the stones and said a prayer. He talked about how God thinks that each one of us is different but very special, just like the stones we laid in the garden.
Children In Need 2009
For Children in Need 2009 we all came into school dressed up in pyjamas or ‘spots’! We then iced our cakes (which we had made the day before) and then had a fun afternoon visiting Year 1 for ‘Pudsey Party Games’, Year 2 for Parachute games and then back to Reception for iced cakes, juice and singing!!! We really enjoyed helping to raise money for other children …thank you Pudsey xx
